“Making of”
MagmaWave works with film and television companies doing the “Making of” or “Backstage” documentaries during the shooting of their projects in Italy.
Using original material shot on location, with interviews with the principal performers and artists, a story is told about the project itself, the experience of those on location, and the meaning behind the project. This documentary is delivered in a format suitable for broadcast or inclusion in the DVD edition. We create a style suited to the projects needs, be it the 7 minute Italian version of Backstage or the longer 15-20 minute HBO style “Making of” documentary.
This format is an art and craft unto itself and we create our documentaries with multiple cameras, including small HDV cameras that allow everyone on the set to be at ease with a less intrusive video.
We believe that the show starts when the public first hears of the project, and we work with our clients to provide video and share it in the new media via YouTube, Blip.tv, Daily Motion and multiple platforms to stimulate interest, sharing and buzz about the project.
